Whether you have high aspirations for your child in the area of
music or not, learning and listening to music is highly
advantageous for your child.
It is common for mothers of very young children to sing to
them, in order to calm them at the end of the day, so that they
go to sleep. Hymns and patriotic music are played in official
occasions and conventions, to arouse patriotic feelings in
people. Loud and fast music with strong tempo is played at
parties, to motivate people to dance and "have...

Plenty! When we made the decision to be our own bosses, we gave
up the luxury of having our employers sending us to us seminars,
workshops or conferences that help improve our skills and gain
knowledge related to our work. All this became our initiative.
We have to look for and invest in our own education. But as busy
entreprenuers, taking time off to learn can be quite a feat.
On the other hand, it need not be that way especially if you
have a portable MP3 player. The Internet has opened up a ...

The man who calls himself ONO (for the One N' Only) is part of
the post-hip hop generation of artists who grew up with the
music, but now see it as irrelevant and self-indulgent. Where
does hip hop go next? If 17-year-old ONO (birth name: Jake
Bhattacharya) has anything to say about it, the answer is back
to the concert hall, with a fusion of live, classical
instrumentation and highly personal lyrics. No gangsta
posturing. Minimal sampling. And a message of hope, rage and
personal affirmation.

to a gate for Southwest. For those that don't know, Southwest
doesn't issue reserved seats like most airlines. Instead,
ticket-holders are issued one of three boarding groups, each of
which lines up before the flight. It's very similar to general
admission seating at concerts.
And as I was waiting for my flight, I watched maybe 200 people
standing in line, each hoping to above being sandwiched between
two 6'7" fat guys and behind a ...

It has been said that Generation X is the most ignored,
misunderstood, and disheartened generation our country has seen
in a long time. No one can define who belongs to Generation X.
While most agree that there is a generation after the Boomers,
no one agrees on who it is. In a September 23, 1996, article in
USA Today, six experts defined Generation X, each with a
different answer. They ranged anywhere from those born between
1961 to 1981 (78 to 85 million) to those born between 1965 to
1976 (46...
